Prime Minister Nawaf Salam visited the southern Lebanese town of Kfarkela, whose homes were destroyed during Israeli attacks, and was welcomed by a large number of residents.

Salam said, “The town has been devastated, and we will work on reorganizing it and rehabilitating its infrastructure to ensure the return of its residents. The process of restoring roads and expanding the communications network will begin in the coming weeks.”

He added, “Our visit is to reaffirm that the state, through all its institutions, stands with the ‘devastated’ villages. Kfarkela’s situation is more difficult than others due to ongoing daily violations and its proximity to the border.”

Residents welcomed Salam with bouquets, commemorative gifts, and an olive branch.
