Watch: After Fuel Hike, Chaos Erupts and Taxi Drivers Urged to Act
Following the government’s decision to increase the price of a gasoline canister, several public transport drivers have raised fares from 200,000 LBP to 300,000 LBP, sparking a wave of complaints from passengers. Despite these increases, the authority to set official fares remains with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

Bassam Tlais, head of the Land Transport Unions and Syndicates, spoke to MTV regarding the situation and the ongoing challenges in the sector.
