Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif told MTV that he supports Lebanon’s territorial integrity and independence, saying, “We will continue to reject all those atrocities against Lebanon.”

Following his meeting with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday evening, Sharif said, “I had a very good meeting with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, and Lebanon and Pakistan are two brotherly countries.”

He added: “The killing of innocent people is not acceptable, and having said that, we will work together to promote peace in the region.”
