US President Donald Trump announced today that he will host his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, at the White House on September 25, suggesting that the two countries will likely reach an agreement on a fighter jet deal after a long-standing disagreement.

Trump wrote on Truth Social: "We are working with the President (Erdoğan) on numerous trade and military deals, including a major deal to purchase Boeing aircraft, a major deal for F-16s, and continuing discussions on the F-35, which we expect to conclude positively," AFP reported.
