US President Donald Trump warned that action could be taken against Hamas in the Gaza Strip under US sponsorship if necessary.

Trump told reporters: “If Hamas does not adhere to the ceasefire agreement, someone will act against them under US sponsorship.”

He added: “Hamas must honor its commitments under the Gaza agreement,” noting that “more bodies of hostages previously held by Hamas have been returned to Israel.”
