Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has issued a series of warnings during her weekly briefing, accusing Kyiv of preparing new measures to force Ukrainians in Europe back home to be sent to the front.

She reiterated Moscow’s claim that it “consistently advocates” for a peaceful settlement to the war, while also expressing concern over US “military methods” in the Caribbean Sea.

Zakharova said dialogue with Washington “is not going as fast as we would like”, and criticised the European Commission’s move to restrict multiple-entry Schengen visas for Russians, saying Moscow would deliver a calibrated response.

She also issued a stark warning to NATO, saying if the alliance decides to attack Russia, Moscow would respond with “all its capabilities”.
