Qatar has expressed “strong condemnation of the Iranian attacks” that targeted Oman’s commercial port of Duqm and an oil tanker off its coast.
“Qatar considers these attacks a violation of Omani sovereignty, an unacceptable escalation, and a cowardly act targeting a state that plays an active role in mediation efforts,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
As we’ve previously reported, Oman’s state media said the drone attack on Duqm port had injured one worker. Separately, an oil tanker was targeted off the coast. Its crew was evacuated and four of them were injured.
