The Jerusalem Governorate has condemned the continued closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem which has prevented Palestinians from performing Eid al-Fitr prayer.
In a statement, the governorate described Israel’s continued closure of the Muslim holy site as a "dangerous and unprecedented escalation and a blatant violation of freedom of worship and the existing legal and historical status quo in the Holy City".
