توفي م. م. اختناقًا إثر اندلاع حريق داخل منزله في بلدة السفيرة في أعالي جرود الضنية.
وقد حضرت فرق الدفاع المدني إلى المكان، حيث عملت على إخماد النيران والسيطرة عليها. فيما جرى نقل جثة المتوفي إلى أحد المستشفيات للكشف عليها من قبل الطبيب الشرعي.
