There's loving your duvet, and then there's this.

A 49-year-old woman from Devon has taken "having a duvet day" to the next level, by planning to MARRY her bed sheets.

Artist Pascale Sellick, who describes herself as a "rude, crude, spectacular exhibitionist" has issued an open invitation to witness the marriage of herself and her duvet.

Speaking about her beloved, she explained her quilt is the "most intimate and reliable relationship" she's ever had.

The service will be held at Rougemont Gardens in Exeter, Devon, on Sunday February 10 at 2pm and there'll also be a "free wedding party" to follow at The Glorious Art House in Fore Street.

The dress code is all things nightwear - which includes pyjamas, slippers, dressing gowns and onesies.

You can also bring teddies and hot water bottles along and vows will be read in front of one of Pascale's artist pals followed by a band and plenty of wedding cake.

"My duvet is the longest, strongest, most intimate and reliable relationship that I have ever had," explained Pascale, who revealed what the duvet will "wear" is still a surprise.

"That's because it has always been there for me and gives me great hugs.

"I love my duvet so much I would like to invite people to witness my union with the most constant, comforting companion in my life.

"There will be music and a ceremony; laughs and entertainment."

The artist has even hired Woohoo Art Events wedding planner, Anna Fitzgerald who admitted it's "the most out there art happening to date".

"I'm really please to be involved," she said.

"Valentines day can be depressing for lots of people so hopefully this will lift peoples' spirits.

"It would be wonderful if folks could shake off their English reserve and rock up in their sleepwear for a bit of light-hearted frivolity."

While it's not confirmed if it's actually a wedding or some sort of art show, we wish Pascale and her duvet all the happiness in the world.
