أهل بيروت أو "البيارتي" يطلقون عليها اسم ساحة البرج. وقبل أن يطلق عليها الجنرال غورو رسمياً عام 1920 إسم ساحة الشهداء، أطلق على هذه الساحة تسميات عدة على مر التاريخ.
