Al-Qaa mayor, lawyer Bashir Matar, on Wednesday confirmed the inaccuracy of news claiming that Covid-19 cases have been recorded among Syrian residents in the eastern tip of the town.
“Al-Qaa and Al-Mashari locality are totally free from any coronavirus cases,” he said, capitalizing on the commitment of the region’s residents to all the preventive and sterilization measures.
“The random PCR tests that were recently conducted by the American University have confirmed that the region was totally free of Covid-19 cases,” Matar added.
