A second meeting for the ministerial crisis cell charged with following up on financial affairs was held on Friday at the Ministry of Finance, headed by Minister Ghazi Wazni, in the presence of Minister of Economy Raoul Nehme, Minister of Information Manal Abdel Samad, Governor of the Central Bank Riad Salameh, General Security Chief Abbas Ibrahim, President of the Association of Banks Salim Sfeir, and vice president of the money changers syndicate Mahmoud Halawi.

The recent financial and monetary developments were evaluated, along with an assessment of the proposals for importing basic foodstuffs, and the need to ease the pressure on dollar demand from money changers.
