The United Arab Emirates and the Emirates Red Crescent, in cooperation with the Lebanese Food Bank, and in coordination with the Be My Friend Association, provided aid distributed to Civil Defense personnel in five centers in Akkar on Sunday, under the supervision of Bank representatives, Wad al-Labban and Mohammad Ramadan, in the presence of the Association's President, Shadia al-Hassan.
Al-Hassan thanked the Emirates for "its generosity towards the Lebanese people, especially in these extremely difficult circumstances,” and Lebanese Food Bank that “accords special care to Akkar and its people, given that there are many families suffering from poverty."
She also indicated that "this donation was made to the Civil Defense volunteers and units, for their ongoing sacrifices, tremendous efforts and endless giving without any return, which renders them the most in need of these gifts."
