Lebanese Army Command’s Orientation Directorate issued a statement on Saturday, in which it indicated that “on April 22 & 23, 2021, the army units deployed in the Bekaa and the North arrested nine Lebanese citizens and six Syrians, seizing 1,100 liters of diesel, 28,000 liters of fuel and a ton and a half of scrap that were in their possession, all of which were intended for smuggling into Syrian territory, along with the vehicles used in smuggling operations and a car that was found to be stolen.”
The seized materials were handed over to the concerned authorities, while the judiciary initiated investigations into the case.
