Lebanese Army Command - Orientation Directorate issued a statement this afternoon, in which it indicated that the Army received today at Rafic Hariri International Airport about 70 tons of foodstuffs provided as a gift from His Highness the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The donation was received in the presence of a representative of Army Commander General Joseph Aoun, and a delegation from the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Lebanon.

“The Army Commander’s representative thanked His Highness, the Emir of the State of Qatar, for his repeated kind initiatives towards the Lebanese Army, wishing peace and tranquility to the brotherly Qatari people, and to the State of Qatar continued prosperity and progress," the statement concluded.
