The death toll from the explosion that occurred Sunday in a commercial area in the Armenian capital has risen to six people, according to Agence France-Presse, citing the Minister of Emergency Situations, noting that more than 60 people were injured in the explosion and 15 others are missing.

According to the ministry's estimates, it is likely that the explosion was not an attack, explaining that a fire occurred at the beginning, and then an explosion occurred shortly afterwards.

The minister pointed out that small spots of fire and smoke are still at the site, stressing that this may last for seven days.

This morning, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan visited the site of the explosion, according to his media office.
