Caretaker Minister of Education Abbas Halabi confirmed that "we have reached a national framework in the pre-university educational curriculum, and I will not let any national component feel excluded", stressing in an interview with MTV's program "Beirut al Yawm" that "the official exams will be serious, and it is unacceptable to remain without an official certificate after what Lebanon's students have gone through, therefore, we insist on holding the official exams in order not to lose the value of education in Lebanon." In the same context, he called on all students not to bet on the postponement of the "Brevet" intermediate certificate, because it will definitely take place, and there will be no postponement nor cancellation of the official exams.
Halabi pointed out that "teachers are excited to hold the official exams and will not interrupt them, and I hope that there will be an understanding between us and them about this matter, and the door is open to public and private school teachers", adding that " we are working on restoring 49 public school, and we have conducted the necessary bid; after that, we will continue to restore dozens of other schools, in addition to building 4 new schools, and our plan is to provide all schools with a solar energy system before the next academic year."
In the end, Halabi hoped that the political forces will agree on a consensual president who will save what can be saved from state institutions.
