Once again, the presidential election session had the same scenario, as the quorum was lost during the second session round, and the results of the first round were as follows:

59 votes for Jihad Azour and 51 votes for Sleiman Frangieh, while the other votes were distributed as follows: 6 votes for Ziad Baroud, 1 vote for Joseph Aoun, a blank paper, a canceled paper for Jihad Al-arab, and 8 votes for New Lebanon.

Moreover, a number of deputies called for a recount of the votes as the total number was 127 while there was 128 deputies in the session.

Immediately, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri announced the loss of the quorum for the second round and adjourned the session to elect the president.
