Lebanese Central Bank’s Acting Governor Wassim Mansouri refuted circulating news and affirming that the relationship between the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Lebanese Central Bank, and commercial banks in Lebanon remains unchanged and unaltered.

"Following direct communication with concerned parties in the United Arab Emirates, I confirm that the banking relationship between the UAE, the Central Bank, and commercial banks in Lebanon remains unchanged and unaltered,” Mansouri affirmed in a statement. 

The statement further emphasized that the circulating news “is inaccurate and is not issued by the management of any Emirati bank.”
