Nine Palestinian citizens were killed on Sunday evening in Israeli airstrikes targeting Khan Younis and Gaza City.
WAFA correspondent reported that an Israeli drone strike hit the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City, resulting in the killing of eight citizens and leaving several others wounded.
Another citizen succumbed to wounds sustained in an earlier Israeli airstrike on the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis in the southern Strip.
Since October 7, 2023, Israeli occupation forces have waged a relentless aggression on the Gaza Strip, killing 52,243 citizens, mostly children and women, and injuring 117,639 others.
This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under the rubble or scattered on the streets, inaccessible by ambulance and rescue crews.
He added that “security preparations are underway across all Lebanese regions,” noting that diplomatic efforts by the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister aim to demonstrate Lebanon’s sovereignty through the timely completion of the electoral process.
