Two people were killed and five others injured in a fire that broke out at a facility producing "synthepone" cotton material in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire was caused by a technical malfunction during the production process, with thick black smoke seen rising over the city.
Firefighting teams responded quickly and were able to fully extinguish the flames within an hour of their arrival.
