Grand Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian, welcomed MP Faisal Karami at Dar al-Fatwa, where the two discussed various Lebanese and Arab matters.

Mufti Derian also met with MP Walid Al-Baarini, who stated after the meeting: “We had the honor of visiting His Eminence to brief him on the situation in Akkar. We emphasized the importance of completing the municipal and mukhtar elections across all Lebanese governorates, where competition has been fraternal, familial, and political, all in service of the people and local development.” He praised the government and security agencies for their effective role in ensuring the elections' success and expressed hope that promised reforms would soon be implemented.

Former Health Minister Firas Abiad also visited Mufti Derian to discuss public affairs and national developments.
