Aoun broaches latest developments with Baabda visitors
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun held a series of meetings at Baabda Palace addressing political, ministerial, and community matters.

The President first received Sheikh Ali Qaddour, President of the Alawite Islamic Council, who raised the community’s concerns regarding the decree on religious authority, court legislation, and equitable representation in public administration and diplomacy.

President Aoun later met with Minister of Industry Georges Issa Khoury, who discussed ongoing efforts to strengthen Lebanon’s industrial sector as a pillar of economic revival.

Minister of Information Paul Morcos briefed the President on developments at Télé Liban and outcomes of his Arab Media Summit participation in Dubai.

MP Fouad Makhzoumi congratulated the President on the professional execution of recent municipal elections and expressed confidence in his constitutional leadership.

A delegation from the Maronite Foundation in the World, headed by Rose Antoine Choueiri, presented its mission to help Lebanese descendants regain citizenship and reconnect with their heritage.

President Aoun welcomed their efforts, particularly in diaspora engagement and legislative advocacy for extending Law 41 on nationality restoration.

Aoun also welcomed former minister Raed Khoury and former MP Nabil Nicolas, with whom he discussed economic and developmental issues, including healthcare and social security.
