Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Rahi, inaugurated the 7th Conference of Maronite Bishops Outside the Patriarchal Territory in Bkerke, under the theme: "Maronite Eparchies Abroad: Signs of Hope at the Heart of the Church."

Attended by bishops from the diaspora, superiors general, and mother superiors, the conference opened with a joint prayer. 

Rahi praised the bishops’ role in welcoming and supporting emigrants, emphasizing the need for priests in some eparchies. He called on the Lebanese Church to respond to this need. 

Closed sessions will continue for two days, culminating in a final statement and recommendations.
