Satellite images published by the Air Defense and Space website show the damage inflicted on Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility following Israeli airstrikes early Friday morning.
The images reveal destruction and black smoke rising from the above-ground portion of the facility, located in Isfahan Province in central Iran.
According to a previous statement by the Israeli army, the strikes targeted "underground infrastructure at the site, which includes a multi-level enrichment hall containing centrifuges, electrical rooms, and other supporting systems."
The army stated that "vital infrastructure enabling the continued operation of the site and contributing to Iran’s nuclear weapons program was targeted."
