Thick smoke continues to rise due to the huge fire at the waste dump in Bchennine – Zgharta. Several nearby areas have reported cases of suffocation caused by the spread of foul odors and smoke, which has covered the entire northern region, resulting in a serious health and environmental crisis.

According to reports, the fire is still uncontrolled, while residents continue to appeal to the Civil Defense and the Ministries of Environment and Health for urgent intervention to put an end to this environmental disaster threatening the lives of citizens.
