Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Rahi affirmed that Lebanon is not left alone and that great powers stand by its side.

Speaking after his meeting with President Joseph Aoun at Baabda Palace, Patriarch Rahi said: "I discussed all matters with the President; some are very promising, while others still require time."

He added: "Tom Barrack’s visit was very positive according to President Aoun. The response paper has been submitted to him, and they are still awaiting a reply from Hezbollah."

The Patriarch also touched on the situation of Christians in Syria, stating: "The situation is difficult, and when we see what is happening in Syria, we truly understand the value of Lebanon."
