Sheikh Akl of the Unitarian Druze Community, Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, received a phone call from Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Rahi, following his meeting with the Spiritual Summit Follow-up Committee in Diman.
During the call, Patriarch Rahi expressed his solidarity with the Druze community and its sons, and commended His Eminence's stances in particular.
The media office of the Druze Unitarian Sheikhdom said that "the call provided an opportunity for consultation between His Eminence and His Beatitude regarding the possibility of holding a spiritual summit, to keep pace with current developments, as part of their joint efforts to safeguard civil peace and national unity."
Moreover, Sheikh Abi Al-Muna received further calls, cables and messages, most notably a call from the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Brigadier General Ahmad Hajjar, and Bishop Boulos Matar, and others.
