Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Rahi received Deputy Director General of State Security Brigadier General Morshed Suleiman at his summer residence in Diman, accompanied by Major Salah al-Hajj, representing Director General of State Security Major General Edgar Lawandos.

Suleiman conveyed greetings from Lawandos and briefed the Patriarch on the general security situation and the operational efforts of the State Security apparatus. Patriarch Rai praised the agency’s work, commending their cooperation with all security and military institutions to maintain national stability. He wished them continued success in their mission to safeguard Lebanon’s security.

Later, the Patriarch also received former Superior General of the Lebanese Missionary Fathers, Father Malek Boutanos, and Father Nadim al-Helou, who extended a personal invitation for him to attend a tribute dinner in Bait Anya honoring the new Superior General, Father Elias Suleiman.

Among the visitors to Diman was also Monsignor Issam Abi Khalil.
