A number of young men from the city of Tyre, along with members of the Resistance, organized a protest in front of the Tyre Government Serail, near the fishermen’s port, in rejection of the visit of U.S. envoy Tom Barrack to the area.

The protesters raised banners reading “Israel is absolute evil” and “America is the great Satan”, while chanting slogans denouncing U.S. and Israeli policies. Speeches were also delivered during the protest expressing opposition to the envoy’s visit to South Lebanon, particularly to Tyre.

According to the National News Agency, Barrack’s visit to Tyre was later canceled, while the Lebanese Army took strict security measures and deployed across the city’s streets, which had been included in the planned visit.
