The Director of Public Relations and Media of the Palestinian National Security Forces in Lebanon, Colonel Abdel Hadi Al-Aasadi, announced that “the National Security Forces completed today, Saturday, the handover of new batches of Palestinian weapons belonging to the factions of the Palestine Liberation Organization, with five trucks from Ain al-Hilweh camp and three trucks from the Bwddawi camp delivered to the Lebanese Army.”
In a statement, he affirmed that “this step comes in implementation of the joint statement issued by President Mahmoud Abbas and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, and the resulting work of the Lebanese-Palestinian Joint Committee to follow up on the conditions in the camps and improve living conditions there.”
He concluded by emphasizing that “this initiative reflects the depth of the Palestinian-Lebanese partnership and embodies the shared commitment to consolidating security and stability and preserving the fraternal relations between the two peoples.”
