Jishi: Resistance will not disarm for a weak state
Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Hussein Jishi declared that the resistance will only relinquish its weapons when a strong and capable state exists, one that can truly defend Lebanon and its people.

In a firm statement, Jishi criticized US efforts to pressure Lebanon into disarming the resistance, accusing Washington of seeking to leave the country exposed to Israeli aggression.

“When Israel failed to defeat the resistance militarily, the Americans turned to diplomacy, pressuring the Lebanese state to withdraw the weapons that Israel claims threaten its security,” he said.

Jashi argued that the Lebanese Army, despite its importance, lacks the capacity to repel an Israeli invasion.

“A weak state that cannot protect its citizens has no right to ask them to abandon the resistance and remain defenseless,” he stated.

He pointed to Israel’s ongoing violations, saying, “What has the state done in response to over 4,600 Israeli breaches, more than 260 martyrs, over 500 wounded, and the destruction of livelihoods?”
