Kataeb Party leader Samy Gemayel paid tribute to slain lawmaker Antoine Ghanem, marking 18 years since his assassination, and vowed to continue the struggle for a “free and strong” Lebanese state.
“Eighteen years have passed since you left. Today, Lebanon is moving steadily toward becoming a free and strong state. Your sacrifice has borne fruit, and your martyrdom carried the truth of the nation,” Gemayel wrote on X.
“We promise you to remain faithful and to carry on the journey,” he added in his message, addressing his late party comrade.
