Axios reported that US President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Wednesday declaring that any attack on Qatari territory or sovereignty would be considered a threat to US security.

The report added that Washington would take all necessary measures , including economic steps, and military ones if required, to protect both American and Qatari interests in the event of an assault on Doha.

On Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu apologized to Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani for the Israeli attack on Doha, during a phone call from the White House.
