President of the Republic Joseph Aoun began a tour of Lebanon’s oversight bodies, starting with a visit to the Civil Service Board, where he met with its president, Nisrine Mashmoushi; Acting Head of the Personnel Department and Director General of the Presidency, Dr. Antoine Choucair; and Head of the Research and Guidance Department, Nathalie Yared.

Aoun also met with Dr. Jean Al-Alya, President of the Public Procurement Authority, who briefed him on the authority’s ongoing work. 

President Aoun emphasized the “need to uphold the principles of transparency, competition, and equality in all public procurement processes, without exceptions or favoritism.”
