A massive fire broke out at an oil refinery in Southern California, USA, according to American media.
Several people reported hearing a loud explosion and feeling what seemed like an earthquake or a plane crash, due to the refinery’s proximity to Los Angeles International Airport.
Fox 11 reported that fire crews from across the South Bay area were called in to assist. Rosecrans Street was closed from Vista Del Mar to the Pacific Coast Highway, and the Pacific Coast Highway was closed from Rosecrans Street to El Segundo Street, where the refinery is located. Authorities urged people to avoid the area.
