Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received at the Grand Serail, Dr. Christian Turner (CMG), Political Director and Director-General for Geopolitical Affairs at the British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), accompanied by British Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell.

The meeting addressed the latest political developments in the region, as well as the situation in Lebanon, particularly in the south, continued British support for the Lebanese Army to carry out its assigned tasks, and the necessity of a complete Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
