A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck the Mindanao region in the Philippines, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).

The quake occurred at a depth of 58 kilometers.

The U.S. Tsunami Warning System issued a warning, noting the possibility of dangerous tsunami waves along coasts within 300 kilometers of the epicenter.
