Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv has prepared to welcome US President Donald Trump with a 50-meter red carpet laid out as part of the official protocol for the high-profile visit.

According to the Israeli Ministry of Defense, authorities have set up a platform for journalists and photographers and raised dozens of Israeli and American flags in anticipation of Monday’s visit.

A statement from the ministry said the department responsible for organizing the president’s arrival completed all preparations over the past few days, including the installation of the platform in the central celebration area and the deployment of the red carpet.
