Minister of Information Paul Morcos commended Beirut Bar Association President Fadi Masri for the “bold and sound decision” to cancel the prior authorization requirement for lawyers’ media appearances, replacing it with a simple notification to the Bar. 

He described the move as “a qualitative leap in strengthening trust between the legal and media sectors,” aligning with Lebanon’s constitutional right to free expression and modern professional standards that enhance lawyers’ active and responsible engagement in public life.
