Washington’s tolerance for Lebanon’s “shadow state” appears to be over, with U.S. officials sending messages that leave little room for interpretation.

According to MTV sources in Washington, the next phase for Lebanon could be marked by increased pressure on Hezbollah. Questions are now emerging over whether the countdown to the group’s disarmament has officially begun.
