The Israel Broadcasting Authority, citing security sources, reported that Hezbollah has succeeded in smuggling hundreds of short-range missiles from Syria to Lebanon in recent months, revealing that “attempts to smuggle weapons shipments were thwarted while other shipments reached the party’s storage facilities in Lebanon.”

The security sources added that “Tel Aviv has informed Washington about the details of arms-smuggling operations across the Syrian-Lebanese border.”

Additionally, the Israel Broadcasting Authority, citing a Western source, noted that “the atmosphere in Lebanon is highly tense, and the likelihood of a confrontation with Israel is high and cannot be completely prevented.”
