Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad al-Hajjar wrote on X: 

“Lebanon always welcomes our Saudi brothers, and the anticipated Saudi step is a positive message to the entire world, and paves the way for a new phase of prosperity and stability for Lebanon.”

Minister al-Hajjar continued: "We have a firm will to strengthen and develop relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Lebanon has been and will remain anchored in the Arab fold, holding fast to its fraternal ties with sisterly countries, foremost among them the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."

He concluded by affirming: "Significant achievements have been made recently in extending state authority, enhancing stability, combating drug smuggling and controlling borders. These efforts will continue, God willing."
