The Aainata snow-removal center, part of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, intervened last night to assist a citizen who became stranded in the Aainata–Arz area after the rapid accumulation of snow. The team managed to rescue him and ensure his safe transport despite the difficult weather conditions.

This intervention comes with the first snowfall of the year over the heights of Dinniyeh and Qornet al-Sawda (3088 meters), extending to Jurd al-Najas and Jurd Marbin, where layers of snow formed amid heavy rain and a sharp drop in temperatures.

The Ministry’s bulldozers also reopened the Aainata–Arz road after it had been cut off for hours due to snow accumulation, by clearing the snow and gradually widening the road, while renewing the call for drivers to exercise caution when traveling through mountainous areas.

With the start of the winter season, the Ministry affirms that the snow-removal centers are on full alert and ready to intervene immediately whenever needed, in order to ensure the safety of citizens and maintain smooth traffic flow in mountainous regions.
