A patrol from the Chtoura Anti-Smuggling Unit intercepted two 4x4 vehicles after receiving information that they were transporting large quantities of smuggled maassel. Officers managed to stop one of the vehicles by disabling its rear tires, later discovering that it was carrying approximately 700 kilograms of smuggled tobacco.
The second vehicle fled the area, but the unit was able to track down its owner the following day and seize the vehicle.
The individuals involved have been taken into custody, with legal measures initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
