Head of the "Baalbek-Hermel Bloc" and MP for Hezbollah's "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc, Hussein Hajj Hassan, asserted that Lebanon is currently facing a massive campaign of intimidation orchestrated by "the Zionist enemy, the arrogant American administration, and certain European, Arab, and Lebanese circles."
Speaking during a memorial service at Imam al-Sadiq Complex in Hay al-Sellom, Hajj Hassan said the goal is to frighten and pressure Lebanon's state institutions, officials, and the resistance into submission.
He warned that the Israeli enemy, driven by its "innate savagery and lawlessness," could resort to any reckless act.
He also criticized the U.S. administration, specifically naming former President Donald Trump, quoting a senior Senate Democrat who recently described Trump as "reckless and brutal."
Hajj Hassan emphasized the need to strengthen national unity, stressing that internal divisions are Lebanon’s greatest vulnerability in the face of external threats. "When there is aggression, division must not be an option," he concluded.
