Three people died and three others were injured after a huge wave swept into a natural pool on the western coast of Spain’s Tenerife Island, according to authorities.
The Canary Islands emergency services said several people were swept into the sea during the incident, and the search is still underway for one missing person.
According to officials, the confirmed fatalities include two men and one woman. One of the men was 35 years old and the woman was 55, while the age of the third victim has not yet been disclosed.
A woman suffered cardiac arrest during the incident, which occurred near the Los Gigantes cliffs in the Santiago del Teide area, but paramedics were able to revive her and she was airlifted to a hospital.
