Nearly 300,000 families left without shelter as Israel blocks aid trucks from entering Gaza
Almost 288,000 Palestinian families remain without shelter as Storm Byron approaches the Gaza Strip, according to the territory’s Government Media Office.

Around 250,000 tents and mobile homes were expected to enter Gaza, but officials say 6,000 aid trucks are currently stuck at the crossings because Israel is preventing their entry.

The media office issued an urgent appeal to the international community, including the United States and the UN Security Council, to pressure Israel to allow humanitarian supplies in.

Human rights organizations have also called on Israel to permit the entry of tent poles, tools, and other items that are currently banned, warning that Palestinians in Gaza are facing another severe winter storm without adequate shelter.
