The U.S. House of Representatives has approved the 2026 fiscal year defense bill, valued at nearly one trillion dollars.

The legislation maintains military assistance to the Lebanese Army, but this time with a clear condition: tangible progress in dismantling Hezbollah’s military capabilities.

More importantly, the U.S. Department of Defense is required to submit a report by June 30, 2026, assessing the performance of the Lebanese Army.
